Noel Henry (KEENE, 1917-1918)
“In the winter on Saturday nights, sometimes we would have a dance and the “Shore” boys would come over; but they were generally so shy that they would stand round out on the landing afraid to come into the Hall, so we girls danced together. With only two tennis courts and one basketball court in use a list of names of players was pinned up and strictly observed, so that every girl got a game at least twice a week. We also played hockey for a while, but the club did not become firmly established in my day.”
